A wedding at the Branford House in Connecticut – a 1920’s inspired wedding celebration.

Modeled after the famous Newport mansions, The Branford House in Connecticut is one of the most stunning venues for couples looking for a glamorous ambiance for their wedding celebration. With panoramic views of the ocean, dark oak interiors and floor to ceiling glass windows, the entire property feels enchanting.

Zach and Mikaela chose the space for their wedding day in the fall of 2021, and we were honored to capture their story. They teamed up with the talented Jen Strunk Events to help plan their nuptial celebration.

With nods to the 20’s, the bride wore a beaded gown and carried a bouquet made of stunning silver brooches.

Greens and golds dotted the color pallet for the day, and their florist Lady Bug Designs, created a cascading floral centerpiece that graced the fireplace in the center of the reception space.

First look on the veranda anyone? The stone columns and sunshine peeking through made this such a gorgeous scene to witness.

Their ceremony was led by the groom’s father, who brought us to tears. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by candlelight, serenaded by a live band.

Music is super important to this duo, and having a live band at the ceremony and cocktail hour was so much fun. They also had DJae Melee bring the house down on the dance floor through the late night. The couple enjoyed their first dance to one of our favorite bands, Big Thief. It’s so special for us when we align with couples like this.

Enchanted castle vibes and ocean sunsets, what’s not to love? Zach and Mikaela are two of the sweetest people we’ve had the pleasure of working with and their love story is one for the books. Wishing them nothing but the best on their next adventure together.
